Banago empowers local women by teaching quality work and entrepreneurship, but on November 8 of 2013 Banago’s entire production infrastructure and the homes of its artisans and the founders were completely destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), the strongest Typhoon ever recorded to make landfall.
